JCA Bughouse (DOUBLES CHESS) Championship - May 17th, 2025
FORMAT: 4 matches, 2 games per match. Players will face off against each opponent – winning team keeps their colors
AWARDS: Top 10 (based off of 20 Teams) or Top 15 (based off of 36 Teams) will receive trophies; all other teams will receive chess piece key chains towards future trophies
REGISTRATION: The first 36 teams to register will be enrolled into the event. Once all 36 slots have been reserved, the remaining teams will be cut from the event. Please reserve a spot now!
TEAMS: (Grades K-12) Chosen by you and may consist of friends, family, and/or classmates. Partners must be picked by players and partner’s name must be in the registration portal

Itinerary:
9:45 AM: Drop-off
10 AM: Rules, Introductions, and Pairings
10:15 AM: Round 1 Begins Promptly
Each round thereafter will resume immediately after the completion of the last match
There will be a 10-minute break after Round 3, if students need to grab snacks and/or break.
Around 12:25 PM: Games will be ending, and Results will be tallied
12:40 – 12:45 PM: Awards
